Fancy some cooking without the admin? This fabulously easy step-by-step Pie Pack will walk you through how to make a pie as delicious as our very own. Serving 4x people, our wonderfully tender diced venison steak, golden pastry and flavour packed bone broth will make a pie for friends or family in a few hours.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR PIE:
Step 1 - Place all the seasoned diced venison steak into a hot frying pan. Fry with a little oil until brown all over
Step 2 - Add the wild venison bone broth, cover with a lid and simmer on a low heat for 1.5 hours
Step 3 - Remove the venison from the frying pan and place into the foil tray, leaving the stock behind. Mix all the thickener with 50ml cold water and whisk in to the stock bit by bit
Step 4 - Simmer the stock and thickener until a glossy gravy is made (approx 10 mins). Pour the glossy gravy over the venison in the foil tray and allow to cool for 1hr. Top with the pastry lid, score, egg/milk wash and bake for 15 mins at 190C.
